MOTIV® staffer, Wesley Low Jr., has made history by rolling a perfect sanctioned 900 series on Sunday, July 19th using the Alpha Jackal at the 44th Annual Ponderosa Singles Classic at Glenfair Lanes in Glendale, Arizona.
Wesley said, “I don’t think I’ve ever bowled back-to-back 300s, so that was a cool way to start the day, but it didn’t sink in until about the seventh frame of the last game that I had a chance at 900. I really made an effort to stay calm and refocus. I still can’t believe it happened. I always said I felt like I had a better chance at a hole-in-one in golf than 36 strikes in a row, and I’m not even that good at golf. To shoot 900, things really have to go your way. You need to make a lot of great shots, but you also need some breaks along the way.”
We are particularly excited because Wesley’s sanctioned 900 series is the first ever with a MOTIV® bowling ball! We are very proud of him and incredibly excited that he was able to achieve such an impressive level of performance using the Alpha Jackal. The Jackal series has been one of the highest performing and most recognized in the MOTIV® line and in the bowling industry since it debuted 6 years ago.
And speaking of high performance, Wesley Low Jr. has an impressive stack of achievements. At the age of 15, he won his first PBA® regional event. He then went on to win the all-events gold medal at the 2014 World Bowling Youth Championships. After finishing college, Wesley decided to make 2020 his rookie season on the PBA® Tour. While the COVID-19 pandemic cut his rookie year short, Wesley’s sanctioned 900 series will certainly make 2020 a highlight in his bowling career.
“To join a short list of people in bowling’s history is quite the honor and something I never thought that I could accomplish during my lifetime”, Wesley said. “To achieve this perfection and share it with my MOTIV family is something I will remember forever.”
