Storm Products is proud to announce that one of the most decorated bowlers in NCAA history, Maria Bulanova has joined Team Storm.

“I’m extremely grateful for Gary and Leanne Hulsenberg for giving me the opportunity to join Team Storm!” Bulanova said. “The shape of every ball is unique and fits my game perfectly, so I couldn’t be happier to join the team.”

Bulanova started bowling at a youth camp at the age of 7 and quickly discovered a natural aptitude for the sport. She rose to one of top players of the Federation of Bowling of Russia (FBR). She became first Russian in history and youngest to win a European Bowling Tour (EBT) title. She earned several medals as a member of the Russian Junior National Team before choosing to attend Vanderbilt University to compete as a collegiate athlete. At Vanderbilt, she was a three-time first-team All-American, two-time Southland Bowling League Player of the Year, 2019 NCAA Player of the Year and was named Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame female amateur athlete of year. She also helped Vanderbilt win a national championship in 2018.

“We are thrilled to add an up and coming professional to our team,” Gary Hulsenberg, VP Business Development said. “Maria was an outstanding youth and collegiate player that is determined and ready to embark on the PWBA Tour when it returns in 2021. We know she will be a positive representative for our team.”

In addition to her success as a collegiate athlete she continued to represent Russia in international competitions. If fact, she has already been inducted into the FBR Hall of Fame. Bulanova, is looking forward to representing Team Storm and competing as a full-time member on the PWBA Tour.

“I can’t wait to represent Storm on PWBA tour and am extremely honored to have some of the best in the business as my new teammates and my new family. Thank you to Storm Nation for believing in me, I’ll do my best to make you proud!” Bulanova said.
