O’Keefe Named to USBC Hall of Fame

LinksARLINGTON, Texas—Jax State bowling coach Shannon O’Keefe is one of five new members of the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame.

O’Keefe was elected in her first year of eligibility. She has amassed 15 titles on the Professional Women’s Bowling Association tour, which includes three major championships, and is a three-time Player of the Year.

“I’m overwhelmed and humbled with the honor of being inducted to the USBC Hall of Fame,” said O’Keefe. “Many years ago, God put a desire on my heart to be the best, which has unfolded into a career that I could only dream of. An honor like this is not achieved without the love and support from my husband Bryan, who has been there encouraging me and lifting me up every step along the way. Along with family, friends and sponsors who believed in me before I believed in myself, and all the bowling fans that I’ve met throughout the world. Thank you, God has truly been blessed me.”

In her first year at Jax State, the Gamecocks were the 2023 NCAA National Champions in their first season of competition. It was her third NCAA title after winning the 2022 and 2017 championships at McKendree.

The Gamecocks are currently at the top of the National Tenpin Coaches Association Poll and have won both of its tournaments this season.

The class of 2025 will be inducted during the USBC Convention on May 7th in Las Vegas.
