The Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin (BCAW) is excited to announce the selection of Alyssa Klopatek as the trade association’s next executive director, effective January 1, 2025.
Klopatek will take over the position from Roger Dalkin, who has served in the executive director role since 2022. Dalkin will remain as the assistant executive director until August 1, 2025, to assist Klopatek during the transition process. Dalkin will then continue with the BCAW as a program manager.
“Alyssa has an impressive background in the association, non-profit and financial service industries as well as communication and marketing,” said BCAW President Hank Posnanski Jr. “With this opportunity, BCAW seeks to expand its scope of experience with fresh perspectives. The board is excited to work with Alyssa as our new executive director and for this organization to grow and flourish under her leadership.”
Klopatek has experience in the bowling industry as a past employee with the United States Bowling Congress in Greendale, Wisconsin. She worked in the communications department, serving as an associate editor for online and print publications and as a media relations specialist.
Most recently, Klopatek was employed as a manager of a marketing materials compliance team at Northwestern Mutual, one of the United States’ major financial planning and insurance companies based in Milwaukee.
With a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Klopatek has also worked in communication, website, marketing and media specialist roles for Marquette University and the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club.
In each of her communication roles, Klopatek worked with both traditional print media pieces and digital projects, from social media to website management, email and text marketing, and more. Using data and analytics, Klopatek has led teams to quickly pivot to meet the changing needs of members and clients.
“I’m thrilled to bring my passion for associations, bowling and business to my role at BCAW,” said Klopatek. “The dedicated and thoughtful BCAW staff and board of directors are a testament to the strength of this group and the future of the sport. I can’t wait to dig in and get acquainted with all of our members.”
Klopatek lives in Greendale, Wisconsin, with her husband, Eric. Together they enjoy traveling, golfing, bowling and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams.
