BRIGHAM CITY, Utah – Roto Grip is proud to announce that 2-time Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) Champion, Jordan Richard has joined the Pro Staff.

“To join Team Roto Grip is a tremendous honor,” Richard said. “It means I am joining a family of the best bowlers in the world. With being the most successful company in bowling, I can only imagine how that success will make me a better player and person, and I’m excited to learn and grow from those on this team. The tools and resources that I have access to now are going to allow me to succeed at my best. It’s simple, to be the best, I have to throw the best.”

Richard started bowling when she was able to walk in her family owned bowling center where she grew up. She started competing in youth events and qualified for her first Junior Gold event in her early teenage years. Her determination and hard work have led her to success at every level of the game.

“It’s always exciting when you can welcome a talented player such as Jordan to the Squad RG family,” Chris Schlemer, Brand Manager for Roto Grip said. “From fans to customers, she gets it, she understands it, and we look forward to her continued growth in the industry. Beyond her outstanding competitive career on the lanes thus far, she has also become even more involved on the business side of bowling as well. We are beyond thrilled to have her as part of the Squad RG family for many years to come.”

For Richard, becoming a member of Junior Team USA inspired her to work hard on the lanes and gain as much knowledge as she could as a young athlete. She started to collect youth titles locally and was a two-time Michigan High School Athletic Association Division II individual champion.  In 2016, she reached her first goal, earning the opportunity to represent Junior Team USA.

This success in youth bowling and high school competitions led her to an accomplished collegiate career. She was named the NTCA Rookie of the Year (Division II/III) and was a 3-time NTCA Player of the Year. In addition, she was named to the NTCA first-team All-American team in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

“As I was competing in college and the announcement came out the women’s tour was coming back, I 100% decided that’s what I was going to do when I graduated,” Richard said. “Bowling has been my passion for so long and I’ve worked hard to get where I’m at, I wasn’t ready to walk away from being competitive when I had the opportunity to still compete full time.”

In 2018, as Richard was finishing up her senior year at Arkansas State, she continued to collect accomplishments on the lanes. She was named the U.S. Amateur Champion at Team Trials and earned a spot to represent Team USA as an adult member. After graduation, she joined the PWBA Tour and collected her first title at the PWBA Greater Harrisburg Open. She was named Rookie of the Year.

Richard has been a member of the Team USA program for three consecutive years and earned her second title at the PWBA Lincoln Open in 2019.

“In 2020, I wanted to focus on the journey and not the end result,” Richard said. “It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. I want to win a title, definitely a Major, and hopefully have enough points at the end of the year to be Player of the Year.”
